Evening Falls

You know how it feels like

to enjoy a night of freedom;

bond with your closest friends;

sleep with you bud in one bed

and spending an entire day with him

in your room?

You know how it feels like

to see the evening sky drape

you view in the window;

the chilly breeze coming from the east

parting away your curtains;

typing in front of a blinding monitor

in a dark lonely room

realizing, that your freedom

and brief abnormal existence

ends tonight...

and tomorrow is another

start of a slave-working week

you wanna end very soon?

It's like...

emptiness seeping in

like an ending song

from a movie that was

heavy on emotions.

The lights from other

homes lighting up

and christmas lights

twinkling from windows

reminding you that

well...

that's how things

simply come and go.

Hours from now, the lights will

fade and the sun will shine again.

The christmas things would

be kept once again after the holiday

season ends in a few months.

---

I'd like to have a life

full of new beginnings

and swift in turning

its pages.

I'd like to secure again

my freedom next week.
