It's been 48 hours since the crew of Tranquility was trapped in front of the PC screen. The enemy seemed to have found a weakspot to gradually destroy us. As of this moment, several of my staff, including the commander is hooked up in playing Master of Orion 3. This space-strategy game recreates a scenario where the player becomes the leader of a fledgling space empire. The ups and downs of being an emperor/president/warmaster or whatever makes this game infinitely challenging.
The crew had stopped almost all of their daily routine. After waking up from a brief sleep, they'll turn on the PC screen to restart the game which they started 6 hours before. If the games bores them, they would restart again until they are caught up in an endless cycle of restarting and playing.
Doctor Flock recommended to reboot the whole system so that this so called computer worm would be eliminated. However, the threat of mutiny speaks louder with every attempt.
The battle of life is still going on, and I fear that the central command, after loosing communications with the ship, might declare that we are already included in the casualties of war. With barely basic orders still functioning, I will try to whether this storm even if everyone would fall prey from this addiction.
